Pricing

Document pricing that improves with volume.

Start with self-serve credits, then move to an annual platform agreement when extraction becomes part of your product. Credits are charged when processing leaves a usable result or retrievable extracted fields. Test-mode documents, files blocked before processing, documents blocked because another page cannot be covered, and terminal processing errors that leave neither a usable result nor retrievable extracted fields have zero net paid usage.

Credit packages

Buy the live processing volume you need now.

Generic extraction uses one credit for each billable started 10-page band and keeps the final total when a usable result or retrievable extracted fields remain. Specialized profiles can use a documented higher per-band rate. Buy a package or enable auto top-up with a saved Stripe payment method, trigger balance, and monthly limit. Prices exclude applicable tax.

Platform and OEM

Use an annual pool when extraction is inside your product.

For DMS, archive, ERP, and embedded workflows, committed-use pricing replaces repeated top-ups with one annual allowance shared across the account. Optional overage keeps production running instead of creating a hard monthly cutoff.

Platform

Committed-use pricing from 250,000 annual document units

Unit rates are quoted against your document mix and page distribution, then fixed for the agreement term. Volume Plus is the published ceiling; a platform commitment prices below it.

Enterprise

Custom economics from 1,000,000 annual units

For larger deployments that need a negotiated pooled commitment and overage, invoice billing, support coverage, security review, or service commitments.

Credit model

Clear usage rules before production volume.

Credits are tied to completed extraction work, not seats. A standard unit includes the upload, processing, normalized JSON result, status flow, webhook context, and up to 10 document pages.

Billing unit

Generic extraction: 1 credit per billable 10-page unit

exdata applies the selected profile's per-band rate to live processing and calculates the final total from the page count. The total is charged when a usable result or retrievable extracted fields remain. Specialized profile rates are documented separately. A terminal processing error returns the credits when neither remains.

Test-mode upload
Uses the same API workflow without consuming live credits, so your team can test files, polling, and webhooks first.
Billable live processing
Uses the selected profile's recorded credit rate for each started 10-page band when a usable result or retrievable extracted fields remain. Generic extraction has a rate of one.
Errors and reprocessing
Returns credits after a terminal processing error only when it leaves neither a usable result nor retrievable extracted fields. Later reprocessing is charged once only if it first leaves either; reprocessing after an already charged result is free.
Longer documents
Documents over 10 pages use the same profile rate again for each additional started 10-page band, so the maximum billable units are knowable from page count.
Blocked before processing
Does not consume credits when a file is rejected before extraction begins.
Standard processing
Every self-serve package uses the standard lane at the same rate. Eligible accounts can use the delayed batch lane for delay-tolerant backfills.
